| NUVEEN ART INSTITUTE Art Lessons for the Serious Art Student (Available for Grade 3 through Adult) Drawing from our pool of professional artists and art educators, the Nuveen Center is pleased to offer semi-private (small group) art instruction for students interested in mastering the fundamentals of art and building a strong foundation for a lifetime of artistic development. Students enrolled in these art lessons will become proficient in the elements of art (line, color, texture, shape, etc) and the principles of design (such as rhythm, balance, contrast and unity) which are the building blocks they will use to complete works of art in a variety of mediums. Each class of 3-5 students will progress at their own rate, with personal attention from the instructor to develop individual talents and interests. No prior art experience is necessary to begin lessons. The cost is $15 per one and a half hour lesson, plus a materials fee, which varies depending on the mediums being studied. Students will be asked to commit to a series of six lessons at a time ($90 total, plus materials). Classes will be formed based on age group (elementary, high school, or adult) and participant availability. If you are interested in starting lessons, please call us with your schedule and we will arrange a day and time that works for you and 2-4 other students of the same age group. Call to register at 231-894-2787. |
