Grants and Scholarships
Deadlines: May 1 & December 1
Applications are available at the Arts Council of White Lake Business Office, 8695
Ferry St., Montague
Your membership and contributions benefit many in our area! In May, the Arts
Council of White Lake awarded scholarships and grants totaling $1,000. On May 1
and December 1 each year the Arts Council considers requests to fund student
scholarships and grants for educational and community events supporting the arts.
Along with free concerts, a gallery and a multitude of classes, these monetary gifts
impact many in our community and represent the philosophy of the ACWL.
• Montague United Methodist Church $600.
They are offering a Summer Fine Arts Program, under the leadership of Beth Adkins,
which will serve 40 to 45 area students in June.
• Ryan Hanke (NBC) $150
• Matthew Lipka (NBC) $150
• Summer Woods (WMS) $150
All three of these students will be attending Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp this summer.
The ACWL is always grateful to receive donations designated specifically for
scholarships and grants from persons who have a special interest in providing funds
for art-related community needs.
