Your membership and contributions benefit many in our area! In May, the Arts
Council of White Lake awarded scholarships and grants totaling $1,000. On May 1
and December 1 each year the Arts Council considers requests to fund student
scholarships and grants for educational and community events supporting the arts.
Along with free concerts, a gallery and a multitude of classes, these monetary gifts
impact many in our community and represent the philosophy of the ACWL.
Our $500 community grant was awarded to White Lake Chorale. They are
presenting a Veterans Tribute Concert on April 28, 2012.
The ACWL is always grateful to receive donations designated specifically for
scholarships and grants from persons who have a special interest in providing funds
for art-related community needs.
